Oversaw the development of a new division within the city manager’s office as the organization’s first Community & Media Relations Officer.
Led public education campaign for a successful local tax measure producing $10M in new annual revenue for vital services and facilities.
Developed and executed the city’s public information strategy during a bitterly contentious labor dispute, ultimately helping to bring it to a close.
Orchestrated the award-winning, ground-up redevelopment of the city’s public-facing technology stack – including all public safety portals, the primary city website and the digital portal to the library system.
Launched campaign to establish the city’s first community benefit district, spearheading the legislative effort to enable the district’s formation, directing the petition gathering campaign, and working with district formation consultant to formulate the district management plan.
Handled crisis communications and worked in concert with counterparts in public safety divisions to handle potentially explosive media stories.
Conceptualized and executed a guerrilla pedestrian safety campaign that drew widespread international attention for its daring and creativity.
Successfully executed a citywide brand study and subsequent implementation strategy for economic development marketing purposes.
Grew the city’s social media audience by >1500% over two years.
Oversaw programming and content strategy for the city’s digital platforms, GovTV station and all associated communication channels.
